Happy Summer Solstice!

My favorite rose bush in the Studio garden opened her first blossom today.  Wish I could send you all a whiff.  She's a stunner.

Here's a peek at a center start knitted lace project that I've been working on (which I will share with you all later this summer..It's a surprise! shhhh!).  Do you see a similarity between these photos? Am I sensing a little bit of synchronicity? You think I might just be giddy with the arrival of summer?  Oh well.  I do love these long light days!
Hope you have a beautiful summer planned and that you get to enjoy all it's pleasures.

Shawls in Waiting

We're working on new yarn photos.  Here's a snap I wanted you to see.
This basket holds over 19,000 yards (I kid you not) of my Gossamer hand-dyed alpaca,  just waiting to become a shawl.  Or rather many shawls.   Can't wait to see where knitters go with these.

Shawls from the Center

Here's a bevy of samples for the Shawls from the Center workshop that I'm teaching tomorrow at Shuttles, Spindles and Skeins.  Lots of techniques to share.  Got to love a tomorrow like that.

The Knitting was Beautiful

Here's a glimpse of the beauties that appeared at session II of the 2011 Knitaway® in the Studio. Another amazing group of knitters and some very special days to remember.  I'm still flying from the great energy and inspiration we've all shared over the last few weeks.
Dates for the 2012 Knitaways are dates to be posted soon, with both spring and fall sessions in the plans.

The Knitting was beautiful.
Hope to see you here in the Studio in the near future.
